🐻 Over the last few weeks, FS2 have been enjoying the popular story by Michael Rosen, We’re Going on a Bear Hunt. They have re-enacted the story many times, and it’s now a favourite whenever they play outside and make their own story maps. Beautiful storytelling FS2! 😊👏

📚 Every term, the fantastic staff at Rawmarsh Library come to visit Foundation. We had our first rhyme time session last week, and it was the best! We sang songs, danced and listened to a lovely story. Well done FS2! 😁

⭐ This week in Special Mentions Assembly, we celebrated the subject of Science. Well done to our amazing children who have showed great scientific thinking, and really challenged their Science learning. You’re all absolute superstars! 😁👏 #WeAreProudOfOurAchievements

🌾 This morning, Y4, Y5 and Y6 represented Ashwood Primary during the Harvest Festival celebrations at The High Street Centre! The children sang songs about Harvest, and learnt more about the festival from Reverend Louise. Well done everyone! 😁👏 #WeListenToOthers

⛰️ Today in Geography, we went on a virtual walking tour of the Peak District. We visited Mam Tor and Kinder Scout, two of the most visited mountains in the peak district! We looked at different features of a mountain, and began to draw and label our own. Well done Y4! 😁👏

🎨 This week in Special Mention Assembly, we celebrated the subject of Art. Our children are working so hard on developing their art skills, and they could talk about artists they were studying and different styles of art. Great work, well done! 😁👏 #WeWorkHard

🫘 This week, Year 1 have been using the story ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ for their English lessons. They listened carefully to the story, then really enjoyed acting out the main events to retell the story. Well done Y1, great work! 😁👏 #WeTakePrideInOurWork

📖 Last week, Year 1 met with their Year 6 Reading Buddies to share their love of a book! Y1 showed off their great story listening skills, whilst Y6 read the books aloud. Well done everyone! 😁👏 #WeListenToOthers

⭐ Last week, Year 4 had a fantastic time at Broadacres. Everyone shared a picnic lunch and read stories to the residents. We love the relationship we have with our local care home. Well done Y4! 😁👏

🧗‍♂️ Before half term, our Y5s had the wonderful opportunity to use the Trust climbing wall. The children were resilient and they truly believed in themselves. Many of them reached the top of the wall, which is a great achievement. You have all made your school very proud! 😊
