A little teamwork today in 2nd grade. Students participated in mat races. A very fun activity where students have to slide on the mat across the gym. The first team to make it across is the winner. Saw this at my sons summer activity camp being taught by a PE Teacher. #bjwPE

SINKER BALL by PhysEdGames modified.. Ss pull a scooter around the gym with a cone and birdie on top. Other Ss can only throw from poly spots to knock down the cone. If knocked down, switch. I used mats for hiding spots and spread poly spots around the mats. More Rules in video!

Jump rope is such a tough skill to teach- coordination, timing, and perseverance. This “Catch a Cone” activity is life changing!! It breaks up the skill in a fun way. The kids love it and forget they’re working on their jump rope skills 😆

Flip the Hoop Touchdown with 2nd grade. Catch the ball 3x in your hoop (or with 1 foot out) and flip the hoop. When you make it to the end line, you score a touchdown and can select a new ball. Lots of fun and choice! #physed

🎁Up On The Housetop🎁 Ss are working on throwing in #physed today. There are 9 streets with 8 houses. Deliver the present (ball) down through the chimney (cup). If successful, flip the cup over, then move to the next street. Get all chimneys filled with presents to win.

Make It You Take It-Ss are in groups at a hoop with 3 pins. When Ss make a basket they still a pin from another group. If a team loses all their pins they keep shooting to get more pins. #physed
