Even (and particularly) as a bootstrapper, Laravel raising 57(!) million in funding is incredibly exciting. Founder mode is still very much on there. And I can't wait to see what comes of this massive press of the proverbial "nitro" button :D Big congrats to the team!

One of the most exciting consequences of this is that $57M flowed into the PHP ecosystem. The Laravel folks are hyper-productive not just with their own libs, but anything even remotely related to that. This will be a trickle-down effect we can actually measure in the code.

Don't call it a comeback: by building Laravel, Taylor Otwell ☁️ 🦹 made PHP relevant again. He also cultivated a vibrant dev community that spawned many other innovations (Tailwind CSS, Livewire, AlpineJS). I admire everything he's achieved. 🙌
