Lunch yesterday in a magnificent old pub called the Nobody Inn. Rabbit pie - proper pie not a pot of stew with a piece of flakey pastry balanced on top. Followed by a walk in misty Haldon Forest. #eastdevon

I've been reading 'Remarkable Creatures" by Tracey Chevalier about the fossil hunter Mary Anning and today at the Natural History Museum I saw the actual plesiosaur and ichthyosaur which she found.

Walking round the Natural History Museum is like being in an MC Escher artwork.

An interesting visit to the Barbican today, a 1950s vision of an urban village in the middle of London with communal spaces and no cars. It still works so well today, but a one bedroom flat would set you back about £850,000.

There's a wonderful conservatory at the Barbican, full of plants that you might have in your house, but all allowed to grow freely and become huge.It's free to go in but you have to book.

The Million Flowers Community Art Project poster is now up! The second picture shows the location in a large carpark near the seafront in Sidmouth. 401 local people aged from 4 to 85 painted the flowers in this vibrant artwork. To find out more sidmouthart.org/projects/walls…
