I spent the day in the Ancient Egypt galleries British Museum yesterday. Now, I am in the Essex Library Service in Chelmsford, adding to my research for illustrating #FinnegansWake #JamesJoyce.

The statue arrived in London in 1821, where it was eagerly anticipated. Shelley's sonnet 'Ozymandias' was inspired by the damaged sculpture. Ramesses or Ramses, (both correct) was known as Ozymandias in Greek culture. #shelley
