If you’re going to support these “encampments” popping up on campuses, please remember that while everyone’s eyes are on these college campuses, there are cops doing the very same thing to unhoused people while few are watching.

People will support these encampments on campus but will go back to having nothing to say about the displacement of unhoused folks.

What gets about these “encampments”on campuses is that if we took encampments of unhoused people as seriously as we’re taking the ones campus, we would be connecting this to a broader understanding of displacement.

this is exactly why I am saying students must be inviting homeless folks into leadership in these movements! solidarity makes us stronger

I just love that the media is trying to shift the attention away from Gaza & the genocide, & every protestor they interview are making sure that Gaza & Palestinians are at the centre of the discussion - which is why they are protesting
