Amazon isn’t just creating a massive number of jobs in the US. We are also creating jobs and opportunities across Europe — and like the US — many of these jobs are in areas hit hard economically by industries that have faded and taken jobs with them.

Today, we participated in “Fandangos por la Lectura", with Gobierno de México Dra. Beatriz Gutiérrez Müller, Governor Omar Fayad, and Eduardo Villegas Megías. It was pleasure to donate 300 kindles as we work with Mexico’s government to support education and literacy.

We’re donating $1 million to help neighbors disproportionately impacted by coronavirus in the D.C. area, home to our HQ2. Working with four community groups, the funds will address food insecurity, housing/shelter, emergency financial assistance and more. bit.ly/2IWKn9w

We’re working with industry to produce the supplies our health care workers need - like masks, face shields, ventilators, and test kits. We reached an agreement with @AmazonCA to distribute these items to the provinces & territories via @CanadaPostCorp & other delivery partners.
