The Canadian economy expanded by a bit less than expected in February
Real gross domestic product (GDP) increased 0.2% in February, following a 0.5% gain in January
(deleted previous tweet that inaccurately said GDP grew by more than expected... consensus was for 0.4% gain)

In a former life I recall an institutional investor telling me that consumer EV prefs didn't matter bc corp fleet-level purchases would drive the transition and pushed back *hard* against alt outlooks.

Same person also though they'd all be autonomous by now.

That was in 2017.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 2.9% on a year-over-year basis in March, up from a 2.8% gain in February. Gasoline prices contributed the most to the year-over-year headline acceleration

Employment was little changed in March (-2,200; -0.0%) and the employment rate fell 0.1 percentage points to 61.4%.

The unemployment rate rose 0.3 percentage points to 6.1% in March. On a year-over-year basis, the unemployment rate was up by 1.0 percentage points.
