I’m through the mountains. What an incredible few days. All the superlatives can’t do justice to any description I can offer. Solitude on a grand scale. I loved every minute. Even the tough bits. I’m now camping above Garve, heading towards Bonar Bridge. Then north to Dunnet Head

Holiday cottage wildflower patch. Seeds kindly given for free from Castletown Garden Center as the box was out of date. I’ll go back and pay for them next time I’m passing.😍

Late summer jellyfish die off. Once reproductive duties are done, it's over. They just stop swimming & drift. The tideline was heavy with them at Skaill tonight; a Lion's Mane, numerous Blues & lots of Moon Jellyfish. They don't decompose. Being 97% water they just evaporate.
