I’m seeing a lot of people who got good news from the NSF and the Ford Foundation. So I know there are a lot of people who got rejected. Don’t worry- this doesn’t mean you’re a bad scientist! I’ve gotten rejected from so many fellowships! It happens. You’re in good company!

Congratulations to everyone who received the @NSFGRFP! To those who didn’t, many of us didn’t and we went on to receive an NRSA or other amazing fellowships. This rejection does not define you or your research ideas. Keep pushing. If you are interested in the F31, DM me.

To every GRFP applicant: it takes a lot of guts & bravery to put your ideas out there for judgement & review. And you did it during a pandemic, often fighting through unspeakable setbacks & personal grief. You are phenomenal. Keep up the good work; we need you.
