GCDI and ARGO are excited to welcome Dr. Catherine Zivanov Catherine Zivanov and Dr. Erica Mann to the team! These surgical residents will spend a year Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and at OAUTHC in Ife, Nigeria dedicated to collaborative global oncology research!


ARGO and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center had multiple collaborative research projects featured in the Biden Cancer Moonshot, White House African Cancer Forum in Washington D.C. – all focused on decreasing the cancer burden in Africa! whitehouse.gov/ostp/news-upda…



Our NCAT (Nigerian CAncer research Training) program scholars recently gathered in Ife, Nigeria Obafemi Awolowo University to present their research ideas and engage in a mock study section grant review – great to see future oncology research leaders gathered together!

We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Olaejirinde Olaofe, pathologist and lecturer from OAU, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center as the first Murray F. Brennan International Soft Tissue Sarcoma Fellow! Building on prior research and leadership experience he will develop a sarcoma database in Nigeria.
