You have to jump through endless hoops & stump up significant funds to “reintroduce” Beavers, a native, protected species behind a Fort Knox fence. A free for all to churn out millions of non native omnivorous birds in our countryside for sport! Go figure! birdguides.com/articles/other…
Excited to share that Beaver Trust will be on BBC Radio 4 this Sunday at 7.54am for this week's Radio 4 Appeal with the wonderful Megan McCubbin sharing more about beavers and our work to restore them to our landscapes. If 7.54 is too early you can tune in at 9.25pm instead !😉

Beautiful blue skies here today made for an amazing day of red kite watching. James Thompson got this wonderful shot from the Photo Hide. The bird is calling other kites in, getting safety in numbers before coming for the food. #ThePhotoHour BBC Springwatch BBC Countryfile
Popped in to Argaty Red Kites today and apart from the lovely kites themselves, spotted a brambling! A definite case of 'one of these chaffinches is not like the others...' Also lovely tree sparrows and red squirrel 😍 #birds #BirdTwitter

We are delighted to be part of the successful South Esk Catchment NRF bid. We hope to start the work later this year on amongst other things, 35ha of wetland creation. We hope to add many miles of hedgerow/ riparian tree to this in future years.

Restoring native woodland in landscapes grazed by cattle & deer can be challenging without the use of fencing. Across the #Northwoods Rewilding Network, we’re using seed islands – small enclosures protecting species such as aspen – to promote growth before the fence is removed.
