Brilliant work by Suffolk Fire & Rescue Service clearing up floods outside our house and many more. They’ve been going since 10 this morning and a long night ahead. We’re among the lucky ones - thoughts with those who’ve suffered much worse than us

What a brilliant job they do for The Royal College of Surgeons of England. Thank you to each and every one of you

Dry January is nearly over, time to embrace the world again - so why not stand for The Royal College of Surgeons of England Council! We have eight Council places up for grabs, and our membership will elect our next President from Council. It’s your College!

Thank you to BHRUT NHS 🏥 Sas Banerjee @matthewtrainer for a wonderful day with a vibrant surgical group in such a forward-looking, upwardly mobile Trust. It was a real pleasure

Congratulations University of Sunderland School of Medicine on a landmark moment. Superb!

Another excellent visit, with thanks to all at London North West University Healthcare and to the The Royal College of Surgeons of England team for organising so well. Our visits are all around the UK but it’s important to include London as well!

Great to see Bruce Springsteen back at the Stadium of Light. Worth every single drop of rain!

Tremendously sad news. Ian was thoughtful, compassionate, forward-thinking and patient-centric. He also did a huge amount for South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust and University of Sunderland. RIP

Another big step forward for The Royal College of Surgeons of England in promoting safety, fairness and equity in the surgical community. Proud to be part of this courageous, committed team
