“Coffee is basically blood at this point, given how much of it I drink. My name is Ye-Jun, by the way.” He’s sneaking around to get the next person. “I game on my downtime to improve finger dexterity and test my patience.” He winked.

“Marlene? That’s a lovely name.” Sipping at his drink, he climbs up the outside of a building and snipes a few other players. His specialty. “Not a genius at it, but used to needing to do it, yes.”

“Thank you~”

“I’m doing my best, and that’s what matters.” He winked to her and then took down a few more, before finding somewhere to hide to use a healing pack. “Red suits you, by the way.”

“Flatterer.” He chuckled and shook his head, taking the last other player down and settling back, looking to her again. “You’re welcome.”

“Oh, I won. They’re all electronically expired.” He laughed a little and settled back in his gaming chair, bringing one leg up.

He sipped at his coffee again and shook his head. “I’m good. Just enjoying the coffee and the company.”

“I do. Coffee is amazing.” He’s taking another sip. “I’ll make you dinner at some point, if you’d like. That is, if you don’t mind Korean food… that’s mostly what I make.”

“Ahhh, that’s the secret ingredient I’ve been missing for years.” He chuckled and then nodded. “I’ll make you rose tteokboki then, if you’d like. It’s rice cakes in a spicy, sweet and creamy sauce. I love it.”

“Then it’s a plan!” He nodded contently and finished the rest of the pastry. He did love eating them on occasion. It was just a rare treat.

“If you’d like to be company in the kitchen when I cook dinner, that’s all I need, really. I actually enjoy cooking.”

“Tonight then, perhaps?”’he offered; obviously only if she felt comfortable.

“I should probably get some productive work done. I’ll give you my phone number and I’ll text you once I’m free?”

He smiled and handed her a piece of paper with his number. “If you text me to let me know your number, then I’ll be in contact once I’m ready.”

“If you’d like to, you’re very welcome to, but you don’t have to,” he smiled warmly to her.

“Then how about you bring your favourite dessert? Means I get to learn more about you that way.”
