Here is my scientific update TED Talks of the state of the Planet. The planet is changing faster than expected, hitting harder on people across the world. We must admit we have underestimated risks. Tipping points are approaching fast. Window open? Yes go.ted.com/YvVKR

THE MOST IMPORTANT BRIEFING THE WORLD NEVER HEARD. As COP 29 ends in catastrophic failure, let's look at COP 15, Copenhagen. Obama jetted in to sign a deal to limit global heating to 2°C. Here's how Ambassador Lumumba Di-Aping's responded for the G77 group of poorer nations:

When you get down to the roots of the matter ... climate denial is really the denial of human decency. How bad is climate denial? To find the answer read routledge.com/Climate-Denial…

Are we so unintelligent that we will continue to openly deny standing up for our children's survival when they need us too more than ever...???? Are we so indoctrinated by the utter drivel and lies of society that we have ceased to comprehend a crisis......?????

20% of all climate and environment protests in Australia involve arrests, more than three times the global average of 6.3%. Maybe this has something to do with Labor and the LNP taking large 'donations' from fossil fuel corporations in particular 🙄 abc.net.au/news/2024-12-1…

‘I was arrested for civil disobedience … I turned 82 in jail!’ — Actor and activist Jane Fonda sounding the alarm about the need for ‘bold action’ on the climate crisis. There's no time to wait. This planet is all we've got. Defend it. #ActOnClimate #ClimateEmergency #climate

Saw in The Age today that private schools are asking for more government funding. In my area, Aquinas College in Ringwood has pristine new basketball courts, while Ringwood High, a public school, is left with rundown facilities. The inequality is striking.

January 2025 - 1.75C above pre-industrial temp! We’re on track to lose everything, & our ‘leaders’ - be they willfully ignorant cowards or outright fascist psychopaths - are owned by billionaires intent on keeping us distracted & divided when we should be fighting for our lives.

I see David Attenborough is trending. I wish we would actually listen to what he’s saying and act on his most urgent warnings, rather than just saying how much we love him.

“At 3°C or more of heating by 2050, there could be more than 4 billion deaths.” The Institute and Faculty of Actuaries are in the business of making accurate insurance judgements. The question is whether Britain’s judiciary is similarly capable of making accurate legal judgements

I want to propose something very serious, that needs to be considered, and widely known. Was the official "fight" against climate change, deliberately set up to fail i.e. it was fixed, it was never meant to succeed, and it's primary purpose, was to deceive the public? 1/🧵

I spent twenty years growing vegetables commercially for the good people of this country. The weather got exponentially worse, e.g., 7 weeks of rain everyday; 12 weeks with no rain, and so on. I know what is going to happen - not because of these particularly bad years, but
