Very excited to share this paper out in Journal of Animal Ecology Journal of Animal Ecology led by amazing MS student Brigit Humphreys on pilfering: individuals differ in their ability to locate and steal caches from other individuals #animalpersonality #smallmammals besjournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/13…
Interested in estimating species distributions and expected abundances across large areas? Limited by how much parameter space can be sampled? Have you thought about integrating presence-only data? Our new paper in Journal of Applied Ecology does just this: shorturl.at/rGPW1

New paper! Taylor Readyhough & Andrew Butler🦊 led a review of 70,000 U.S. mammal studies over the last 100 years to assess publication trends Key results in figure. Conservation status surprisingly unimportant. We ID taxa that need more work (weasels!) onlinelibrary.wiley.com/share/author/U…
New Paper - David Heit's 2nd MS chapter is out! A review + mammal & bird case studies exploring nonlinearity in GLMs GLMs are "nonlinear" on the natural scale yet entail a linearity assumption, which can be confusing Read more (open access): onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.10…
Out in Journal of Animal Ecology, we investigate the influence of masting on timing of reproduction in small mammals using a 12-year dataset. Seed availability alters probability of reproduction for both sexes and can change timing of reproduction by over 2 months! besjournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/13…
