• Summit/Baldwin (Wards C/D)
• MLK/Ocean Ave (Wards A/F)

Both pairs would become one-way: one northbound, one southbound. Major safety upgrade ahead Current setup: 4 lanes (2 each way). Proposed: ✅ 1 lane northbound ✅ 1 lane southbound ✅ 1 lane for protected bike lanes ✅ 1 lane for Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) 🚗 All current parking

Also coming: 🗓️ November: we’ll propose reducing citywide speed limits to 20 MPH. We’ll petition the state + aim to finalize before year-end.

And we’re starting traffic studies now to explore No Turn on Red being thoughtful on where/how to implement across JC. We’re aiming to move on this by year’s end too.

A Flash Flood warning is in effect this afternoon into tonight Statewide. If you plan on driving, do so carefully. Avoid flooded areas and downed powerlines. #FlashFloodWarning #NJOEM #NJSP

I cannot stress what an AMAZING accomplishment this is because of this administration. Jersey City had next to no flooding - in areas that would have normally be 3 - 5 ft underwater. There are NO other cities with this type of infrastructure investment - the proof is self evident

Meanwhile in NJ: ▪️ Bergen light rail — 25 years, still waiting ▪️ Glassboro–Camden line — 29 years, no train ▪️ PATH — unreliable ▪️ NJ Transit — deep funding gaps And both candidates for governor? Silent on transit, but eager to widen highways.

Along w/the Rt. 139 upzoning, we’re making real progress on two new linear parks between Kennedy Blvd and Palisade Ave. This will transform the city’s eastern gateway - how it feels, and how it reflects who we are. One park is nearly complete, the other just getting started.

Before/After: New Park on 16th Street in #JerseyCity. The ribbon-cutting is next week, but it’s another standout example of how we’ve made JC a state leader in open space + park investment. Worth watching the video and yes, we added pickleball courts as well as Bball, spray-park

It was 24 years ago when the World Trade Center towers were struck by two planes on Sept. 11. The attacks claimed the lives of more than 750 New Jerseyans, including finance professionals, first responders, service workers, and airline crew, among others.
