Remembering Hexiexiongdi (aka Diediedie, Yden) — a gay artist who made mistakes while trying hard to be liked. Now updated by a friend, as he wished. 🌹

Hi everyone, this is Pasetiku, a close friend of the artist you know previously as Yden. I'm saddened to share that he is no longer with us. (1/7)

We met on CGMA while taking online art courses, and we quickly became friends after realizing our similarities. We both wanted to improve our art, hoping to get more likes and follows, and hear kind words from others. We also shared a similar taste in music and comedy. (2/7)

Everything changed when he realized he didn't have much time left. He began to reflect on his past—regretting how far he went, making ridiculous things just to get likes, to please people, hoping they’d show him the love he was missing in real life. (3/7)

He shared all of his past works with me and told me he only liked the games he made. Though he still regretted making many mistakes in those games, trying too hard to please his audience, he did like a lot of the silly stuff he came up with. (4/7)

On his path of trying to become popular, he used many different names: Diediedie, Yden and so on. But he wanted to be remembered as Hexiexiongdi—the first one he used when he still had that original spark, dreaming of becoming a sim date artist like Pacthesis. (5/7)

I promised him two things: (1) finish my game projects (they were partially inspired by his ideas and spirit); (2) move forward with laughters, not tears, and do not try hard to please people like he did. (6/7)

He was never as successful as he hoped to be, but he kept trying—more than any artist I've known. I'll carry his memory with me, in every story I finish, every laugh I don't hold back. Thanks for being part of his journey. (7/7)

Some of you may remember him sharing a project idea before he stopped posting and deleted his past tweets. He passed it to me—and I'm still working on it now. It's hard, but I'll do it for him. Will share updates on this account and my own account soon (by his request).🌸
