The UK Government is trying to pass new laws that would criminalise sleeping on the streets with a fine up to £2,500, or even prison.

So you get a knighthood these days for being a business owner who tells workers to get a job in a supermarket during covid so you don’t have to pay them. Best argument ever for scrapping the honours system in this country. Decent people reject honours.

Apparently it’s the TENTS that are the real problem. Not the societal problems that contribute to homelessness.

The continued criminalisation of homeless by this government shows not just their lack of concern but also how out of touch they are with the reality of this social problem - which no one seeks and which can happen to anyone.
