Thanks to Dani’s foresight, Library of Congress will have at least one copy of every issue of the magazine going back to its inception. Next they’ll be bound so readers can continue to use the collection for years in the future.

Dani and David Montgomery are among a group of 11 irreplaceable journalists whose jobs at The Post officially end today. That they spent their last day doing this is a testament to their generosity, graciousness and commitment to their work. The newsroom will miss them desperately.

What a bittersweet morning. This is the first time I've met David and Dani in person, but it is their last day at The Former Washington Post Magazine. I am honored I got the chance to meet them and shake their hands before they leave and I will always be a fan of their work.

This is amazing!! So happy that The Former Washington Post Magazine is going to be preserved in this way.

Farewell, The Former Washington Post Magazine. From the Gunfight to the OK Corral, to the loneliest whale in the world, via the North Pole, the polar bear capital of the world, and olive picking in Umbria, Italy, the magazine was the home for some of my very favorite pieces over many years.

The best of The Washington Post: Employees, some of them just laid off, bringing the now-no- longer-pubbed Sunday magazine to the Library of Congress for posterity and preservation.

It's because of exclusives like this today that I will not be canceling my subscription to The Washington Post. I've been disagreeing with editorials in WaPo & elsewhere for 30 years. It's common. The news pages are what count and they are tough and smart wapo.st/41uIOJ4

The crisis in Cuba is the worst in modern times, with the U.S. bent on making it worse. Missing from ideological debates is what it’s like for ordinary Cubans. To find out, I rode a bus from one end of the island to the other. My latest The Nation thenation.com/article/world/…
