Past Madison Regatta President Jak McCormick’s ProLite class craft received damage when he hit a hole and hook, and then began to sink in turn 1. Thankfully, Jak is ok and is on the rescue boat as they work to tow in his boat.

Still in a delay as the cranes and diver teams work to get Jak McCormick's ProLite boat out of the water and back on its trailer. No word yet on updated heat times for the Unlimiteds.

Race officials are currently out in boats checking course conditions. Winds have picked up along the riverbank helping to cool fans on the shoreline, but also creating white caps on the water near turn 1.

Now on an official wind hold with rough water for racing. Unlimiteds are being put back on the trailers.

Still waiting to hear about having action resume on the water. A safety boat is currently out touring the course to check on conditions.

Madison Regatta President Kyle Bipes shared over the PA that the Regatta has the water until 6:30pm EDT. Depending on timing, they may move straight to finals for the different classes. The Unlimiteds have priority when racing resumes.

A safety & rescue boat is currently taking another pass around the course to check conditions. We hope to be able to share a schedule update soon.

Decision on running on the water will be made by H1 officials at 5:30pm EDT.

Madison Regatta President Kyle Bipes shares that the GP Final will be skipped and the 4 boat H1 Unlimited Final will be ran ASAP with 4 laps. U9, U8, U91, U11 are the boats that will run.

Corey Peabody was DSQ'd for overlapping in the warm-up period, then encroaching in turn 1 during lap 1. Still waiting to hear if the U91 cleared tech inspection.
