A common reason for high debt is taking out FEE-HELP loans, especially for PG study by people who have made little or no progress repaying HECS-HELP loans. Gender trends in FEE-HELP indicate one source of current & future debt problems.

If the Age pension age had stayed at 65, the number of people on these payments would have fallen by 90,000 2/3
