Really have spent the year keeping my head down, resting and facilitating training. My favourite piece of work this year has been running my Trauma Informed Practice in Practice training, which launched early 2024.

There were 1.3 million olive trees in Gaza before Oct. 7, 2023, now 75% of them have been destroyed. Bisan Owda (Wizard_bisan1) joins families harvesting olives to pick what is left.

1,410 entire Palestinian families exterminated by Israel. From babies and teenagers to parents to great grandparents. If one extended family was wiped out in Britain, it would be headline news for weeks. It’s happened 1,410 times in Gaza, with a much smaller population.

Of to facilitate the my last training session of the year before having a much needed break for December/January. Part of practicing radical self care is ensuring I have adequate time off facilitating to rest and replenish.

I don’t even have the words for this. Heartbreaking. Enraging.

Well I had a bloody good day. I'm shattered but am feeling very grateful that my last training group of the year were interesting and a joy to be around.

Sadly you couldn’t make this up: Man aggressively interrupts women filming a report about creating safe spaces for women. A mother and daughter sharing their story on feeling unsafe had to stop as he became verbally aggressive, perfectly proving why such spaces are needed.

Amnesty International has accused Israel of committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. The report refers to indiscriminate killing of civilians, denying aid and destroying vital infrastructure. Israel has dismissed the findings as 'entirely false'.

“This is a targeted assassination … My brother was a civilian feeding people … And still they went and killed him.” Yara Elmjouie spoke to Hani Almadhoun, the brother of Gaza Soup Kitchen co-founder Mahmoud Almadhoun, who was killed in an Israeli attack on November 30.
