Currently monitoring a situation deep in the North Cascades.. one of my mining partners Ron hiked into Mill Creek on Tuesday.. they made radio contact with him but he says he’s disoriented on which direction he’s going. He’s 83 and in really good shape. It was a hot one up there

There are 3 other miners within 6-12 miles from this area, it’s just unknown right now where his location is. He’s got food for 2 more days but low on water. Hope we find more info tomorrow morning

Radio contact will be done at 11am this morning to see if we can get a pinpoint location. This time was set by the other miners yesterday. Wish it was a bit earlier though.

Update ** They said that Ron sent an emergency message that just said campground to his brother on the East Coast at midnight. His brother this morning called 911 from the East Coast and that's what triggered all the county search and rescue resources. The guy from Okanagan

Update #2 Looks like a helicopter has landed in Lost River, things are getting very active 🚁

Finding out that Helicopter is for water drops on active fires. But we found his coordinates which is a good thing

3rd Update from the North Cascades 🏔️ Thanks for all the messages everyone. As of 4pm this afternoon, Ron is down by the confluence of Canyon Creek and Mill Creek (Radio Contact) He’s got food and water for the night.. but still weak. SAR will help Ron out tomorrow morning

Looks like Okanagon SAR is going in as Team has been Deployed. Once again Starlink and Garmin are incredible with connection, very thankful 🙏 #wawx #pnw

This will make a story around the camp fire Update* Voice contact with Ron minutes ago but it looks like SAR will have to “repel” down to him. Sounds like he was off the trail quite a ways.. it does get pretty steep in that area #wawx #pnw

11:19am - SAR has reached Ron 👏 They will check him out before bringing him up to the main trail

5:48pm SAR have made it back to the UTV’s.. they are headed back up the road where our other mining partners camp is. What a long day for everyone but glad this mission is finally coming to a close. Thanks SAR and everyone involved #wawx #pnw
