I want to share what I think about MDs. I love each and everyone that busted their ass, borrowed too much money, sacrificed more than we can ever quantify, in hopes of helping their patients. Medicine is an imprecise science. The uncertainties far outnumber the absolutes.

Every MD knows they are not going to be right every time, it's impossible to be, but they will do their best . Every day. Are some better than others. Yes. Are there politics?More than most professions. But to dismiss MDs as being "bought" is wrong.

I can't imagine the stress or having to make life or death decisions for patients. The pain of dealing with death and tragedy. Intellectually we all know that Twitter isn't really representative of anything but Twitter. But the abuse on this platform towards MDs is wrong

A great moment for Canada. My Canada includes leaders who are Indigenous. How did this take so long? #truthandreconciliation

Our latest SRMA in Critical Care Medicine compares SGA with tracheal intubation for initial airway management in OHCA. 4 RCTs, over 13,000 patients. Compared to tracheal intubation, SGA is faster to place, probably increases ROSC, but may be no difference in mortality or aspiration.

It says it all: "The Canary in the Coal Mine Has Died". Having far fewer hospital beds per capita than most other comparable countries, Canadians languish in the Emergency Department and on ambulance stretchers. There is a way forward. This report is actionable. CAEP

The past is being rewritten But none of us who witnessed those early days can scrub our memories of the pain, and horror We’ll never forget finding young, otherwise healthy people dead in a chair And we’ll never forget our colleagues who died You might. But we won’t.
