Three of our officers had a brilliant day yesterday supporting Camborne, Pool and Redruth Police with proactive patrols and community engagement at Trevithick Day. A brilliant event with lots going on throughout the town…. Which was evident in the 9 miles the team walked!!

What a weekend! 🚓 On Friday evening we had our specials support group active bouncing around the patch dealing with loads of jobs including an escaped horse! Yesterday, a couple of drug drivers off the road thanks to proactive stops and ANPR monitoring vehicle offences!

We had a fantastic few days supporting Truro, Perranporth and Tregony Police at #Tunesinthedunes. Some super hot weather, lots of patrols, walked miles and lots of community engagement We dealt with a few minor issues over the three days but overall it was a brilliant event to support. 🪩

Over the last few weeks we’ve stopped a number of delivery drivers in Truro and Falmouth who don’t have the right insurance to be delivering takeaway food. 🚘🥡 If you’re a delivery driver you must be insured for that purpose. Please check. It’s not worth 6 points & £300 fine!

😤🙄 Another two drivers stopped in the last 24 hours for delivering takeaway food without Hire and Reward Insurance! “I didn’t know I needed different insurance” is NOT a valid excuse! Points and fine heading their way… #knowyourcoverlevel

Congratulations to Truro Special Constables for their Civic Award. The team delivered a staggering 2430 hrs of volunteering service during the last 12 mths. We had an absolutely brilliant night supporting Falmouth and Helston Police last night for Falmouth’s Pink Wig Event! Public engagement, selfies and endless questions of where our pink wigs were 😂. Brilliant event! And tonight we do it all over again supporting Carnival. Falmouth Week

This evening you’ll find us deploying our Specials Support Group throughout West Cornwall. A PSU van full with SC’s carrying out proactive patrols in areas of ASB, community interest and high crime hot spots as well as responding to appropriate 999 calls from the public.

Another day another duty! Today we’ve been enforcing speeding limits in areas of Falmouth & Truro focussing on areas of community concern, high footfall & public use in an effort to slow people down. A significant number of people will be receiving some post! 🚓 Vision Zero South West

Proactive patrols today for us in Camborne, Redruth, Falmouth & Truro in an unmarked car focussing on vehicle offences. Lots of proactive stops & a prolific disqualified driver stopped, vehicle seized & reported to appear in court! Tomorrow we’re at Cornwall Pride 〓〓 in Truro! 🏳️‍🌈

We had a brilliant time at Cornwall Pride 〓〓 yesterday. An event full of fun, family entertainment & entirely inclusive! A nice Q day for us; lots of engagement, no problems. We also found a new recruit for DC_Police Dogs ( Puppy Development Program) 😂 Fab event 🏳️‍🌈 🏳️‍⚧️ Devon and Cornwall Police Diverse Communities Team

On Saturday evening our Truro Team were proud to be handed the Special Constabulary Team of the year award at the Citizens In Policing awards. 👏🏽 🎉 The team were recognised for their proactive policing, community engagement and the value they bring the local policing operation.

On Saturday a number of our team attended HQ in Exeter for the Annual Citizens In Policing awards…. … and not only did they attend, but also walked away with a ton of awards…..🏆👏🏽💪🏾 Well done everyone; well deserved.
