The 2YO children in Admiral loved celebrating Children In Need day. They talked about why we collect money and who it is for. They dressed up, danced, explored spots, played Pudsey Guess Who and made Pudsey bear headbands.

In history, Year 3 were learning about the diseases that the Tudors suffered from and the remedies that they used to cure them. For instance, they learned that they could cure baldness by rubbing fox grease on their scalps. Mr Whitlock noticed a huge difference!

Anchor class enjoyed a walk around Stockwood, identifying the human and physical features. The children represented Waycroft beautifully with their super listening skills and being respectful of the local residents. Thank you to the parents who joined us!

Well done to our children who took part in the Year 5/6 Sportshall Athletics event on Monday. The children showed fantastic attitudes and really enjoyed the event. Apologies that we didn't manage to get 'action shots' of all children!

A big thank you to our parents and carers for supporting the travelling book fayre again this year. As a result, you raised £440.66, which have been spent on books chosen by the children (photos with some examples). Also, thank you to Mrs Kelson who has again made this happen!

Well done to all children who were awarded with certificates in assembly today. There have also been some really good pieces of work shared with the Principal and Vice-Principal this week, showing the progress that a lot of children are making.

Year 4 have really enjoyed the beginning of their electricity unit in Science. Today, they worked together to understand how electricity moves around a circuit, before being scientists and investigating the best way to create a working circuit!

For Year 4's RE topic this term, they have also been looking at the Nativity story. The children have been looking at what symbols they notice from the story and from other traditions. Christingles are a symbol of the holiday; Year 4 had great fun creating them!

Parents/Carers, we seem to have accumulated a lot of lost property. If anyone recognises any of this, please ask to pick it up from the office. If the weather allows, we will put these tables at the front of the school 8:40am and 3pm.

We were really proud of our Year 6 pupils who visited the Lifeskills Centre yesterday; they listened/participated well and were really engaged. A huge thank you to all the volunteers at Lifeskills, who give up their time to provide these really valuable experiences!

Year 1 built houses in Science to test some materials and their properties. They needed to include a door, window, rug and roof. They discussed having a waterproof roof, transparent window, soft rug and strong door. They worked together well and were excited to see the results.

Year 3 have created Winter pictures to go inside the picture frames that they have made. The skills that they have used were: sawing, gluing, measuring and painting. As you can see, the children are incredibly proud of the outcome.
