In the top 16, Jijo/Khurana lost to a great team from BVN but they’ll be back next year!
Byrd/Heinen beat a different BVN team in the top 16 before being eliminated by SME in the top 8. Congrats to them on a great Junior year!

Congrats to our 4-speaker team of Harris Chaudhry, Kavi Chidambaranathan, Campbell Hight and Aditi Nimishakavi for finishing as runners-up at this years 6A 4-speaker tournament!!
This weekend the Jr Blues’ nationally qualified entries were in action in our first warmup tournament for nationals!
Harris Chaudhry/Campbell Hight and Shri Chidambaranathan/Jace Raines finished 4-2 in prelims in Iowa!! CR barely missed elimination rounds as the 9 seed.
Chaudhry/Hight broke as the 4th seed. They won both their quarters and semis debates on 3-0 decisions! The semis win secured them another bid to the Tournament of Champions in April!
In finals, we will debate Olathe North… but for now agreed to go home in time for the Chiefs!!
Our nationally qualified policy teams are competing in their final warm ups before nationals and they are debating well!
CH finished prelims 5-1
CN finished 4-2
CR finished 3-3 after forfeiting 2 rounds so that Jace could compete on our state Scholar’s Bowl team… what a guy!
On top of advancing to elim rounds, both CH and CN won speaker awards at Spartan Green and Gold!

Along with NSDA qualifiers in IEs, our nationally qualified policy debaters are competing at National Debate Coaches Association Nationals in Atlanta!
We had a great prelims, but unfortunately CH & CR lost their break rounds
CN are currently in the top 32 against St Marks (TX)!
We recently found out that we are going to win the prestigious Bruno E Jacob award for the top cumulative school at NSDA nationals. We will be recognized on stage tonight at the national awards ceremony, which will likely begin around 7 PM. Tune in here!
