Funders, etc... matter because goals and values are embedded in the construction of programs, curriculum, and assessment. Thus the data created and the data mined are impacted by the program creators. With activism this does not have to be the future. #mscidel

#MSCIDEL I wonder about teaching as well, but I think it depends on the types data and who gets to decide what data is being examined. Much of what I have seen professionally is superficial and selected by administrators.

Another issue is when we try to scale data how much context, social or otherwise, do we lose? In losing that context do we lose some ability to help those struggling to learn? #mscidel
