Join us in remembering Alfred Puddy, who died aged 86.🕯️ Alfred served in the Royal Navy near the end of WW2 as a stoker. He remained in the Royal Navy after the war and eventually took a commission in the Royal Fleet Auxiliary, reaching the rank of Lt Cmdr. Lest we forget.🌺

🇬🇧 Last Sunday, British Forces Cyprus (BFC) had the honour of welcoming singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran MBE to Dhekelia garrison! It was a day filled with music, laughter, and gratitude as Ed visited UK troops and their families. Thank you for your incredible support, Ed! 🎶🙌

Don Howkins was a butcher when war broke out but by May 1944, he was heading to the front line. Don was a gunner in the Middlesex Regiment. As D-Day approached he was ordered to water-proof weapons and vehicles at a holding camp in Weybridge, in preparation for a beach landing.

On this day in 1940, the Luftwaffe launched a massive assault in the skies over Britain. It was a day of heavy fighting and significant casualties. The RAF shot down more than 50 German aircraft in what proved to be a pivotal victory over the Luftwaffe. Lest we forget.🌺
