Join us in honouring D-Day veteran William 'Arthur' Jones.🇬🇧🎖️ Mr Jones drove a Sherman tank with the Essex Yeomanry during the Battle of Normandy. In 1944, he was 18 years old; a few days after the landings, he was in the thick of the fighting.

🌺 RAF Flight Engineer Eric Richomme sadly died in WW2 when his Lancaster Bomber JB664 was shot down near the French village of Bransles. More than 80 years later, his relatives will be travelling to France to take part in commemorative events. 📰 Source: Jersey Evening Post
