Succumbed to Whamhalla in #Whamageddon today in unusual circumstances. Doing 400m rep indoors at emirates, youngsters on the inside of the track warming up played “Last Christmas” at full volume on phone. Heard it on way past with 100m to go on rep 13. No justice, and I’m out 🤷🏻‍♂️

There’s the big man coming now. Tried to do a video call with Mary and Joseph to tell them, but I forgot they were away for a few days and there’s no zoom at the inn.

Indoor 3000m Emirates. Great fun today and a PB of 9.47.50 at age 53. Delighted.

Great fun at the scottishathletics indoor open at the Emirates. Gave it a go against the young team and just came up short but an indoor 1500m Pb anyway. Grateful to still be able to compete. Cambuslang Harriers

The scottishathletics road relays today. My third since I rejoined Cambuslang Harriers and my third gold going hand in hand with my third “fastest m50 Short leg”. Amazing team performance and great respectful camaraderie amongst our “rivals”.

Good to mix it up with the Cambuslang Harriers young team at the Stride Athletics flat n fast 5k. Grateful to still be able to compete, and my fastest 5k since 2021 (third fastest ever) at age 54.
