She rummages through the cupboards, pulling chips, cookies, and endless snacks from their shelves when her phone dings. She quickly texts back, “Fruit roll ups!”

Yes, score one for Ness! She flopped down on the couch with her snacks to wait for him and turned the tv on the latest supernatural teen drama.

Hmph.

“Thank you, thank you, thank you!” She practically shouted in gratitude, jumping to grab the snacks from his hands. “Come on, let’s hang out. I think this one has wolves in it.” She laughed, motioning towards the television, already tearing into the candy wrapper.

She quickly curled up next to him, flicking the tail end of his fruit roll up as he snacked on it. “Oh look, there’s a cute lady wolf.” She whistled teasingly, wagging her eyebrows.

“So you think she’s hot then?” Ness laughed, nudging his shoulder with her own. “Reach me the chips,” she demands playfully, kicking at the bag on the table unable to reach it.

“Guess who?” She says, jumping on his back slipping her delicate hands over his eyes.

“Stranger danger?” She teases, nudging him. “No more leaving on long hunting trips, please?” She slips her arms around his neck.

Her eyes meet his and she notices the darkness. “Where have you been then?” She questions with pursed lips. He would need to feed soon, she didn’t want him starving himself.
