With such a hot day on campus (96°F measured by our campus mesonet), students are seeing if they can fry an egg on various surfaces! Unfortunately, our hottest egg on asphalt only reached 108°F, but they still had a lot of fun!

We also decided to launch a weather balloon this afternoon in conjunction with our egg frying 🍳🎈🌡️! The balloon was launched at 20Z under partly cloudy skies. Data available at: bergeron.valpo.edu/soundings/

Students in introductory meteorology labs launched weather balloons last week! As freshmen, students in their first semester start in meteorology courses and have opportunities to participate in hands-on activities 🎈
