Over the past decade, the Philippines has been a success story for U.S. dairy exports, experiencing 48% growth from 2015 to 2024. This week, USDEC CEO Krysta Harden and California dairy farmer/USDEC Chair Becky Nyman are in the Philippines to explore additional opportunities.

USDEC Chair Becky Nyman and CEO Krysta Harden engaged in a productive discussion Tuesday with U.S. Embassy in the Philippines and Foreign Ag Service representatives on expanding trade in the Philippines, the largest U.S. dairy export market in Southeast Asia.

USDEC Chair Becky Nyman and CEO Krysta Harden had a great meeting with Santini Food Specialists on Tuesday, which provided valuable insights into cheese opportunities in the Philippines' food service sector and the role U.S. dairy exports can play.

The Philippines boasts a young and growing population, along with rising household income. Consumers have a strong focus on health, which USDEC CEO Krysta Harden and California dairy farmer/USDEC Chair Becky Nyman learned more about during a retail market visit today in Manila.

The Philippines is the largest export market for U.S. dairy ingredients. Today’s meeting with Century Pacific Food Inc. shed further light on the importance of those ingredients in food production.
