The first home run hit in Williamsport's Muncy Bank Ballpark at Historic Bowman Field was hit by a Buffalo Soldier, Oscar Charleston. O. Charleston enlisted in March of 1912, was assigned to the 24th Infantry and deployed to the Philippines. #armyhistory #blackhistorymonth
