I have voted against the Covert Human Intelligence Sources bill and so have tendered my resignation from my position as Shadow Schools Minister. I wrote to Keir Starmer before the vote. I’d like to thank Keir for having given me the opportunity to serve on Labour’s front bench.

I fully support this hospitality and tourism rescue plan from Unite the union: join a union. It's imperative that the Government takes urgent action to protect these sectors and save the hundreds of thousands of jobs currently at risk.

This morning I sent a letter to the Prime Minister and the Chancellor asking them to implement a proper rescue plan for the Hospitality and Tourism sector.

This morning Howard Beckett wrote to UK Prime Minister & HM Treasury Rishi Sunak to urge them to implement a proper rescue plan for the Hospitality & Tourism sector.
