In partnership with Tunaweza Empowerment Organization. I officially signed off Your Voice Your Power project, an initiative that built capacity of 130 grassroots citizens of Kuria East & West on constitutional rights, equipping them with skills to promote democratic values & social accountability.

The Anti-FGM Board attended a meeting held by Ministry of Gender, Culture, The Arts and Heritage with a delegation from the Government of Netherlands at the Cabinet Secretary's office to discuss areas of collaboration in the fight against FGM and other harmful practices.

We are hosted by Tunaweza Empowerment Organization. in Kehancha- Kuria, in Migori County, for a summative meeting under the Power to Youth Project. The Power to Youth Project, implemented in 7 countries, including Kenya, in 4 counties of Kajiado, Homabay, Siaya, and Migori, has been in operation

This week under the Power To Youth Kenya project, we continued to support the youth-led groups under the Youth Anti-FGM Network KE - Migori County Chapter, highlighting the progress, opportunities & sustainability mechanisms of these youth movement on elimination of FGM by 2030.

As the world marks the #MHDay2025, we joined SIGs PLACE & other stakeholders in Nyanchabo P&J school in reinforcing our commitments for a #PeriodFriendlyWorld🩸, breaking down taboo, ending period stigma & advancing education to empower girls & women for a dignified & future 🌞

This week we convened 50 youth who are direct beneficiaries of the Power To Youth Kenya in Migori County 🇰🇪 since the year 2021 for knowledge sharing, linkages and disseminating local case studies through exhibition during these end of project engagement for learning & sustainability.

Today Kenya 🇰🇪 celebrates the strength, resilience of her people & the spirit of independence that define this great nation. We reaffirm collective commitments that NO girl or a woman should be a statistic of #FGM, NO child should be a bride and NO youth should be denied theirs.
