I adored Tidal Waters by Velia Vidal, trans. Annie McDermott, which is coming out with Charco Press in May. The first Afro-Colombian novel I've read, the first to evoke the Chocó–Darién, the first to mention the Emberá and the Wounaan and the communities who are never given voice.
