One of our favourite radio interviews from when we started the search for Paul McCartney's Lost Bass last year. This is Scott Jones on ABC in Australia, on 4 Sept 2023. Who would have thought it? Just weeks later the bass was back. Thrilling stuff. ABC News

Within days of the theft the press coverage made the stolen bass 'too hot to handle'. It was taken to Ron Guest who ran a pub in Ladbroke Grove, who agreed to hide then buy the most famous bass guitar in the world. The stolen goods stayed in the Guest family for over 50 years.

God Bless you Johnnie Walker. Thanks for all the great music over the years and the great conversations. Thanks too for our dedication on Sounds of the 70s in February this year - 'My Love' - after we got the Lost Bass back for Paul McCartney. Radio won't be the same. @piratejw
