The first phase of the bridge deck replacement works at White Hart Bridge are progressing well. The abutments have been widened to support the new bridge deck and the steel deck troughs have been prepared to receive the new reinforced concrete deck slab. #civilengineering

We’ve recently commenced a scheme of river wall repairs on the Thames for The Hurlingham Club. The scheme involves repairs to both masonry and concrete walls as well as repairs to the sloped revetment. Our experienced team make schemes like these straightforward to complete.

Whilst demolishing an old Culvert our Suffolk division came across a nest of Newts. Works were halted and an exclusion zone was set up to protect them. We saved approximately 50 newts and safely relocated them to the newly constructed Hibernaculum. #civilengineering #ecology

Spalling soffit concrete represented a major risk to the underlying main line railway in the London area. At short notice our site team removed the concrete under a 24 hour possession. The bridge was left in a safe condition and the line can continue to run as usual. #Railway

We are currently carrying out work at Briggins Park near Harlow. Our site team are replacing and upgrading the old brick wing walls with a new precast concrete unit before backfilling and upgrading the drainage system and installing anti-erosion protection to the embankments.

Due to the numerous bridge obstructions and limited river frontage preventing jack-up barge access Topbond and Meercat workboats JV have designed and built the FIRST Jackopter. A 250T capacity marine crane platform that mobilises to the most constrained locations #AprilFoolsDay

We mobilised our JUB Topjack to initially come to site with a deck mounted crane to assist with timber fender removal. Once all fenders had been removed there were various new ladders and navigation lights to make the jetty more prominent and in line with PLA requirements #marine

What a great night at the National Maritime SME Awards in Woods Quay on Wednesday night. Topbond were finalists for 2 awards: · The Best Business Transformation of the Year Award · The Best Family Business Award 162 nominations were received with 3 finalists chosen.

Topbond were appointed to develop an innovative method to deliver the construction of a new bull nose fender to the jetty head. The exposed coastal nature of the jetty, where vessels have been written off due to bad weather and sea conditions made this a challenging environment.

Our client required replacement balusters to match existing at Albion Place in Ramsgate following vehicle damage to the existing balustrades. Another great job completed by our Broadmead Renaissance Cast Stone division, well done to all involved.

Our client needed to achieve a level difference without encroaching on ancient woodland area therefore they required 70 Platipus Anchors and 30 Platidrains to be installed to the slope. We had to mobilise swiftly and completed the works ahead of schedule.
