Just somewhere I share and talk about what I'm drinking, and where I'm drinking it. Also, I occasionally pull pints at The Forest Brewery Taproom

The big man's beaten me to it tonight. Lovely to meet up and share a few beers in a fantastic pub! Here's to another one 🍻

I'm polishing up a few of the leftover Christmas beers. This is Robinsons Brewery's example, their 4.3% Santa's Reinbeer. A warming malty festive amber ale. Not a bad beer at all, much nicer than some of the other shop bought Christmas beers

Juicy and full at first, with a unique mouthfeel, sandy, citrusy, a mix of passion fruit, grapefruit, mango, pineapple and pine resin, a unique wet feeling Although the alcohol content is 10.1%, it is very juicy and particularly easy to drink, with a lot of candied fruit, and

Test batch of canned Dark Mild. 2.7%, beautiful, really, really happy with it. Not sure how many we'll actually can, as the best before date will be quite short. But plenty for kegs, and if this is anything to go by, it will fly out!

This was my first time trying a Vietnamese beer. This is Sapporo Premium Black. A nice, strong smell of chocolate, with subtle notes of stone fruit. A massively malty 5% beer in a really cool can! Very enjoyable!

After a temporary break to reset and recharge, I've dropped back in with this delicious Barrel Aged Birthday Barley Wine from Three Hills Brewing. Boozy and packed with notes of sweet raisins and an intense rich bitter aftertaste. Very Christmas cakey, perfect!

We had a lovely new beer on over the last couple of weeks at the taproom. This is Bristol Beer Factory's Espresso Martini Stout. 4.5%, subtle coffee, a touch of sweetness, and incredibly drinkable. A great alternative to their Milk Stout

This is probably the best beer I've had from Northern Monk! A collaboration with Toast Brewing, this is their 8.4% Peanut Butter & Jam Stout. Absolutely loaded with peanut butter and packed with sweet jam. Smells beautiful, but wasn't as thick as I was expecting. Cracking beer!

Another pint down at The Ostrich Inn at Newland in the Forest of Dean. Otter Brewery's lovely 3.6% Otter Bitter. A cracking traditional bitter ale, clear, clean, and easy drinking. It's always a top pint and on top form here

What better place to spend my weekend? In the Doghouse in Coleford drinking Loddon Brewery Hocus Pocus on cask! A proper nice 4.6% dark amber old ale

Another short break from socials, and I'm back. This was a pint of Pacific Pale Ale from Brentwood Brewing Co at The Doghouse in Coleford. A nice crisp, refreshing pale on cask

Back before their recent beer festival, an evening jaunt to The Pelican Inn in Gloucester resulted in a delicious pint of Flapdoodle. A 4.3% coconut and maple milk stout from Stealth Brew Co. Milk stouts on cask are always delicious, and this is no exception

Just a chill one last night with a little can of Neck Oil by Beavertown Brewery A 4.3% session IPA. A little unremarkable but a decent enough beer after a hard day's work

Sunny weather calls for a cider! What better than a bottle of Ross Ciders Raison D'Être. An incredible cider with some deep complex flavours from oak cask aging. Just as usual, another fantastic cider from Ross!
