It was fantastic to join 8 other MPs from Tyne & Wear to make the case that our Fire & Rescue Service urgently needs more funding. The Minister can no longer ignore the serious concerns that our constituents have and we will continue to make that case on their behalf.

Today I joined MPs from across Tyne and Wear to press for extra funding for Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service. The service is facing huge challenges following years of under-funding. Action is urgently needed.
