We already know that training more doctors to become GPs, doesn't lead to more GPs. The suggestion that streamlined pathways will solve the problem has zero basis in the reality of the current GP workforce issues. It's arguably dishonest to pretend it will - given what we know.

Visited one of the most prolific microsurgical lower limb units in the UK Swansea Bay NHS with Rebecca Shirley. Ahmed Emam (MBBCh, MSc, MRCS, FEBOPRAS, FRCSPlast) NICK MARSDEN and the orthoplastic team - incredible hosts and eye opening teamwork!

The weaponisation and social clout of "kindness/compassion" continues to gather pace in UK healthcare. When children get reprimanded they deserve compassion because they aren't old enough to know better. The people involved in this farce should know better and could have asked.

Today we have reached a milestone for our Orthoplastic service. We have performed 500 complex orthoplastic reconstruction since the establishment of the major trauma centre in South Wales SWOPS. All thanks to the team effort NICK MARSDEN Sophia Pope-Jones Tom Dobbs.
