Because Mike Pompeo is the U.S. Secretary of State, our nation’s top diplomat, I can only conclude that this is a tribute to Elizabeth Warren and the little girls she has inspired. Anything else would be vulgar, sexist, demeaning, and incredibly offensive.

Today I decided, with the possibility of an extended break, that we would drastically expand the number of books that’s students could check out. We had the entire school through the library by 12:45. The shelves are a mess but these kids have some great books going home.

Tonight, I announced that in order to slow the spread of COVID-19 in Michigan, I am ordering the closure of all K-12 school buildings to students starting Monday, March 16 until Sunday, April 5. School buildings are scheduled to reopen on Monday, April 6.
