Iowa City Activists are reporting to me that University of Iowa police are not only visiting homes of people they believe to have taken part in the encampment yesterday morning, but are calling people to trespass them from “all outdoor university property.” Which is a lot of land

Those who anonymously reached out to me are saying UIPD’s Lieutenant Travis Tyrrell was one of the officers that opened the door to a home without knocking to attempt to serve an alleged protestor a trespass warning. Officer Adam Herrig also visited community members homes.

Who’s brave enough to combat this Gestapo behavior and rein this department in? I’ve yet to see any one with any power condemn these tactics and speak out.
