Traffic Update - A1 from Alnwick to Berwick still remains closed to vehicles. The A1 is still impassable in this area. Officers and Highways staff are trying to safely move stranded vehicles in convoy.

⚠️⛔️ ROAD CLOSURE A696 in Northumberland. Here is the view at #Ottercops this morning. Not passable, please avoid.

The A1 is currently closed by Belford, Northumberland, due to 2ft of standing water. A diversion is in place through Belford but there is heavy congestion. There is standing water on the A1 further north which is passable with care. Our advice is to avoid the area if you can.
