Our Mustangs have learned about fearless women who have made or are making the world a better place. ๐ท๐ผโโ๏ธ๐ฎ๐พโโ๏ธ๐ฉ๐ฝโ๐๐ฉ๐ฝโ๐ป๐ฉโ๐จ๐ฉ๐ฝโ๐๐ฉ๐ฟโโ๏ธ๐จ๐ฝโ๐ณ๐ง๐ฝโ๐พ๐ท๐ผโโ๏ธ They love learning about how history has shaped us. ๐๏ธ๐๐ก๐๐๏ธ I cannot wait to see how they will use their gifts to shape history! ๐๐ผ๐บ๐ธ๐ฅฐ๐บ๐ธ๐๐ผ
For National Mall Night our Mustangs created a monument to a significant woman in history. ๐๏ธCharacter actors Susan B. Anthony & Amelia Earhart visited & Dr. Linda Booth Sweeney, author of Monument Maker, inspired us to keep engineering and writing! โ๐ฝ๐โ๐ฝ๐ฉ๐ฝโ๐ป๐ง๐พโ๐ป๐จโ๐ป
Collaborating with these women has been a game changer! ๐๐ผ๐๐๏ธ๐๐๐ผ Our MHES students have the monuments they created for monumental women on display at the Belmont House in Washington, D.C.! Never doubt the possibilities when you surround yourself with inspiring women!
When elementary students collaborate with real world initiatives motivation moves mountains. Thank you Women's Suffrage National Monument Foundation for partnering with Mount Harmony Elementary and Calvert County Public Schools to make project-based learning so meaningful!
