I know everyone is telling me to rest, but I’m just so excited to get back into writing, book covers, painting - all the hobbies that had had to take a step back these past months!

One thing they don’t tell you about dating another scientist is that you occasionally buy the same shirt, and you might not tell until you take off your sweaters that you both chose to wear the same one that day. IDK, it seems like something they should warn you about.

I think the cutest response to me getting my PhD was when my fiancé told me he could no longer eat apples, because it would “keep the doctor away” 🥹

It’s one of those days where you walk 3k without even leaving the apartment.

Maybe the reason they keep us all fighting amongst ourselves for funding is they know we’re one bad day from being mad scientist super villains if we could afford it.

We need to have a #NaNoWriMo for like, academic papers. If articles worked towards my word count I’d fee much better about this month!

My post doc won’t start for another few months, but until then I need to continue on analyzing data and writing papers - despite not having a salary. Remind me why I went into research?
