I think one of our problems in this world is the loss of romance. The romance of nature, of beauty, of wonder, of poetry, of writing letters infused with the delicate intricacies of the heart.

Taste is subjective, not beauty. Appreciating beauty is a choice influenced by personal taste. Taste is a reflection of character. This is seen in what people choose to appreciate. Do the things you appreciate call your soul up or pull you down?

Lotta people around here upset about "what they took from you" but yet they won't make the effort to support local businesses and makers. You want the old school small town vibe, you have to actively support local businesses (aka your neighbors) with your dollars 🤷🏼‍♀️

Bolshevism and Big Business are very much alike; they are both built on the truth that everything is easy and simple if once you eliminate liberty. And the real irreconcilable enemy of both is what may be called Small Business.

Abolish religion if you like. Throw everything on secular government if you like. But do not be surprised if a machinery that was never meant to do anything but secure external decency and order fails to secure internal honesty and peace.
