Since I got my Quest Pro (thanks @meta!), I've been playing with Mixed Reality a lot more... A-Frame physics can now automatically learn the room layout via the WebXR APIs, and factor it into its physics simulations. diarmidmackenzie.github.io/aframe-compone…

EYE-TRACKING as an interaction isn't as intuitive as you would think... Our eyes are BIZARRE AS HELL, and the magic and misdirection required to make eye tracking intuitive is very fascinating. A "twitter thread":

For anyone interested in #WebXR Hand Tracking using Ada Rose Cannon's handy-controls module, I have remixed her aframe-xr-boilerplate Glitch. The reason? Her original A-Frame scene no longer loads as expected. Fortunately, some time ago, I downloaded the glTF 3D model

New A-Frame enter VR / AR user flow We have to adapt to new devices and the kind of experiences devs are building. What do you think? Old UI still available for those devs that prefer it. Thanks to Danilo Pasquariello Diarmid Mackenzie and m₂

We believe ARVR is among the most underrated markets today. Most people fixate on past (and current) missteps, leading to assumptions that are simply wrong. With ~30m Meta Quest headsets sold and a favorable industry outlook, we think the time is now. ⬇️
